The Manhene of the Techiman Traditional Area, Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, has ordered the reduction of noise within the Techiman township.

According to Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, it has become necessary for him to issue such directives since noise pollution is gradually turning into a norm in the town.

He made this known during stakeholders meetings which involved the Techiman Traditional Council, the Techiman Local Council of Churches and information service operators.

He revealed that, apart from the numerous health implementation associated with noise pollution, it directly or indirectly aids in criminal activities hence the need to keep Techiman, the Bono East Regional capital serene.

Techiman Kentenhene, who doubles as the Dabehene of the Techiman Traditional Area, Nana Owusu Antwi Boasiako, has urged all and sundry within the Techiman township to strictly adhere to the directives of Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV.

He assured the various churches and mosques that, they have the full backing of the Traditional Council to operate but they should not do so by disturbing the peace of others hence the need for them to also adhere to the directives
