SMA cautions drivers who park at pedestrian walkway
Drivers have been cautioned by the Sunyani Metropolitan Assembly to quit parking on the pedestrian walkway or face the law.

Development Planning Officer at the Sunyani Municipal Assembly, Harruna Abdulai has issued a stern warning to drivers who park at the pedestrian walkway in the regional capital.
Speaking with Soiree News Nana Ama Asiedu, Mr Haruna said they have spent a huge amount of money on the new project and will not hesitate to punish anyone whose activity may threaten the beauty of the project.
He revealed that the Sunyani Municipal Assembly has fined about five cars owners who disobeyed them by parking on the pedestrian walkway.
He disclosed that they were charged according to the size of their vehicles.
He also warned food vendors who sell on the new walkway at Sunyani Rex to desist from the act or risk facing the wrath of the SMA.
Mr Haruna Abdulai added that the Sunyani Municipal Assembly does not take delight in taking money from people but they only want the residents to heed the law.
He, therefore, called on everybody to be a watchdog and lodge complain whenever they see the laws been frown at.
By so doing, he believes Sunyani will be a better place to live.
