Family Of Six Crashed To Death When Returning From Church Service At Assin Anyinabrem

Six members of the same family were crashed to death when a vehicle they were traveling in was involved in an Accident at Assin Anyinabrem in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

The family of six were traveling in the same saloon car with registration number WR-38-14 which crashed with an articulated truck. The Accident involved five children between the ages of one to eighteen years. According to information gathered by Soireenews revealed that,they were returning from a 31st watch night service in another town.

The driver of the saloon car was driving from Kumasi Direction to Cape Coast and upon reaching a section of the outskirts of Assin Anyinabrim lost control and the vehicle which collided head-on with DAF articulator truck with registration number GN-9828-20 being driven by Suspect driver Yakubu Abass a 43 year old man with his mate on board Driving from Takoradi to Kumasi.  All the occupants of the Camry sustained severe injuries and were rushed to St.Francis Xevier Hospital at Assin Fosu for treatment but six of them including the  driver Paul were pronounced dead on their arrival to the hospital. The body of the deceased has been deposited to the St.Xevier Hospital Mortuary for Preservation and autopsy.

The only surviving child is currently on admission at the same Hospital.The Suspect driver and mate have been arrested and assisting Investigation at the Assin Fosu Police custody.
