I'm thinking about doing another sing-a-thon - Afua Asantewaa

Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum, a broadcast journalist from Ghana, declared she will try to set the record for the longest individual singing marathon a second time.

I'm thinking about doing another sing-a-thon - Afua Asantewaa

Her previous attempt in December 2023, in which she sought to break the record held by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare, who performed nonstop for 105 hours in 2012, was unsuccessful.

The mother of three is preparing for another go at the coveted crown, unfazed by the setback.

She clarified that her initial attempt was hampered by her lack of preparation time, as she had only two weeks to plan the challenge.

She expressed hope that with more time to plan, she will succeed and bring honour to Ghana.

"I've been thinking about it a lot, and I think that the record attempt I went on is comparable to black stars competing in a World Cup, black queens competing in an African Cup, or black presidential candidates running for office," the woman stated.

Thus, I have never in my life witnessed the Black Stars give up football due to their World Cup qualifying failure. They continue to play constantly. "I have witnessed aspirants to the presidency who have failed to secure the office but are still making an effort.

Therefore, I don't have to quit up if my quest to break the world record fails. We're still giving it some thought.

Thus, I think that a lot has been lent going forward. We have a mere two weeks to attempt what we accomplished in December of 2023 of the previous year.

Therefore, if you would like to go again, you have enough months to properly prepare, nail it, and still make Ghana proud. "If I succeed next year, make Ghana known worldwide."
