The potential parliament hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region, Mrs Dina Tetteh, has stated that she is Awutu Senya East’s hope as the one with the magic wand to transform the constituents economy's living conditions and make things better.
Speaking in am interview with Soireenews. com after joining the Muslim believers at Kasoa Central Mosque to celebrate the completion of the demanding Islamic spiritual obligation, Mrs Tetteh was confident to win the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries and subsequently win the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general election to restore hope and constituency pride.
She felicitated the Muslim faithfuls in the various communities within the constituency on the successful completion of this year's Ramadan fasting season.
“On the occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr, I wish on behalf of the NDC in the constituency …send our warmest greetings to all Muslims as you celebrate the successful completion of your fast,” she noted.
She praised the Islamic faithful who had prayed for the restoration of Ghana’s economy, the leadership of the nation and the “peace we continue to enjoy in all facets of our lives.”
According to her, it is therefore necessary for us to congratulate you and say Eid Mubarak for good work done.”
She, however, cautioned the Muslim youth against the reckless riding of motorcycles and other anti-social vices as they celebrated the completion of the demanding Islamic spiritual obligation.
“I wish to appeal to my Muslim brothers and sisters in my constituency to excise moderation in the celebrations as the reckless riding of motor bikes and other related activities would not be encouraged,” she advised.
She charged police to ensure that law and order are maintained before, during and after the celebration of the religious holiday.
