For several decades now Dungu could be described as one of the poorest places in terms of water quality.

Lack of potable drinking water at Dungu in the Northern Region has reached a crescendo, putting a big toil on the residents.

The occupants of the area have raised serious concerns with regard to the lack of potable drinking water in the area.

The Dungu inhabitants noted that it's a well-known fact to every concerned member of the area that the Dungu has been grief over the same crisis for decades now.

According to them, they buy water from tricycle riders (motor king operators) who sell water at a high cost.

Some students of the University of Development Studies (UDS)  who live in the community raised concerns that over 8 to 12 months now they haven't seen the flow of tap water.

"About 8 to 12 months now, we've not even seen a tap flow," the UDS students told Soiree News in an exclusive interview.

The Dungu inhabitants however are pleading with the government of Ghana and all philanthropists for support.
