Obaapa Development Foundation supports Sokpoe Community School project

The Obaapa Development Foundation(ODF) has made a donation of assorted items and a cash sum totally GHS10,000.00 for the commencement of Sokpoe Community Basic School project.

Obaapa Adwoa Ankyea popularly known in public cycles as Nanahemaa Awindor, made the kind gesture on behalf of the foundation last Saturday, March 30,2024 in Sokpoe within the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.

Speaking in an interview with the media after the donation, Obaapa Adwoa Ankyea disclosed that the gesture was made as part of the social responsibility bid of Premier Production which is a support system for Torgbe Korshie Fiawidwo Dutala (I),a development chief of Sokpoe Traditional Area.

In response, the Paramount chief mentioned the community basic school as a project of great interest for him.

Premier Production champions the development of communities, and building capacity of chiefs and traditional leaders for effective and efficient delivery with particularly interest in women and children.

She explained that her outfit donated 50 bags of cement, 500 blocks, GHS 1,250.00 to commence the digging.

The foundation is also supported Mamaga Adzesu II withGHS1,500.00 for the women and children day programme the foundation instituted in the community.

In addition, the foundation donated GHS 500.00 to the planning committee and some cash donations to the relief funds.

Given that Togbe Korshie Fiawidwo Dutala 1 being a development-oriented fellow, Obaapa Adwoa Awindor explained they could not have done anything distinct. Togbe Korshie Fiawidwo Dutala 1 is the Director of Operations for the Obaapa Development Foundation,a Non profit organization championing women and children affairs.

Nanahemaa Awindor disclosed that it was not out of place to support his project as a development-oriented chief committed to alleviating plethora of challenges within their cycles.

"For over seven years running, the foundation's support initiative for the Sokpoe Traditional Area has been enormous therefore we pledged our continuous support to do more", she warmly added.

She maintained that as development of communities particularly for women and children have been the heartbeat of the foundation, her outfit will relentlessly be committed in the pursuit such an agenda.

In conclusion,Nanahemaa Awindor urged the people to own the project by commiting their widow's mite towards the realization of such a unique dream.
