Gospel Rockstar Paul Wambantem Sets Date For 10th Annual Azusa Praise At Disciples Of Christ Ministries near Weija Junction; Invites Believers To Join Gospel Event

A popular young Gospel Artist in Ghana, Mr Paul Wambantem will host the 10th edition of Azusa Praise on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Disciples of Christ Ministries near Weija Junction off the Accra-Kasoa Road, under the theme "Jericho Wall Must Fall."

Having started in 2016, the Azusa Praise event led by Paul Wambantem promises to be incredible as he invites everyone to praise until the walls come down.

In an interview with African TODAY NEWS newspaper on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, ahead of the event, the devoted gospel artist noted that since its inception, the programme has made a significant impact on the lives of believers, particularly the young people who actively participate in it.

According to the artist, he uses "Azusa Praise"—which signifies revival—to mobilize large crowds, focusing primarily on youth to pray for solutions to their daily challenges.

Mr Wambantem added that his vision aims to bring people together during the Christmas season to worship and praise Almighty God for His goodness to mankind.

Mr Paul Wambantem noted that humanity's eight-month journey from January to August involves many struggles and challenges.

Because God has remained faithful through this first quarter of the year, he believes it is vital—especially for the youth—to gather in unity and thank Almighty God for protecting their lives from unseen dangers

The Gospel artist stated that he will use the offering proceeds from the event to visit orphanages and support the inmates as a way to thank God.

Mr. Paul Wambantem shared that last year's Azusa Praise event brought miraculous physical healings and helped a participant secure travel documents.

He added that a young person who was struggling to secure travel documents was able to obtain them and travel abroad successfully immediately after attending the event."

"At last year's event, one of the female participants who had fibroids was healed after the ministration. The woman sent a text message stating that the fibroids had vanished completely," he revealed.

He stated that since the event is dedicated to a Christmas home, everyone—including Zongo chiefs, traditional leaders, Muslims, and other religious figures—is invited to join him in praising Almighty God for improving living conditions.

"I am using this opportunity to invite everyone to join this Christmas praise event," the Gospel artist appealed.
