East Gonja Municipal Chief Executive Presents Items to People With Disabilities.
Honorable Richard Broni urged the Social Welfare Department to ensure that all PWDs in the Municipality are registered to benefit from the fund to uplift their image and become economically viable in society.

The East Gonja Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Richard Broni has on 15th June 2022 distributed 25 Chest freezers and 30 wheelchairs to People with Disabilities (PWDs) in the East Gonja Municipal Assembly of the Savannah Region of Ghana.
As required by the People With Disabilities Act, 3% of the Assembly Common Fund is allocated to meet the challenges and needs of PWDs after an assessment, verification of documents, vetting, and approval by the department of social welfare.
The beneficiaries commended the government for their continuous support of them and promised to put the items to good use for their benefit.

He again extended a word of advice to the PWDs to make good use of the materials received.
