In a bid to provide a good road network to Ghanaians, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through the Ministry of Roads and Highways declared 2020 as a year of roads that seeks to rehabilitate bad roads and construct new ones to help commuters get access to good roads across the country.

Sharing his delight about the year of roads agenda by the government, the Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Mr. Eugene Boakye Antwi said the year of roads agenda by the government has seen over 100 kilometers first phase road awarded to be constructed across the greater Kumasi.

Mr. Eugene Boakye Antwi mentioned this when he inspected ongoing works of 13.27kilometers road within his constituency together with Kumasi City Engineer and the Consultant of Contracta Construction Ltd

.

Mr. Eugene revealed that due to the urgent need for the roads, the construction firm working on the project Contracta construction Ltd is on site.

According to him, he is much more impressed with the level of work done at the time of the visit, and the project is expected to be completed within 24 months.

He emphasized that the government has done its part to provide a good road network for the commuters, but maintenance culture has to be adopted for its everlasting usage.

"Washing of cars with chemicals on the road can cause harm, changing of oils and parking heavy equipment machine on the road can reduce it expected life pan, hence all such acts should be a thing of the past", he added.

According to the lawmaker, the project would serve the needed purpose and improve the living condition of the people since it will create access routes and the frontiers of the constituency.

He asked the constituents to support his vision, and exercise patients, because he is committed to providing necessary infrastructural projects that deserve the good people of the Subin constituency, but the activities of the government have to pass through numerous channels before they can be approved.

Since he has been once again voted into power, the needs of the Constituents would be addressed respectively.
