Chief Of Awutu Afia-ayensa/Yamoa Nkwanta Swears Oath Of Allegiance To Paramount Chief Of Awutu 

The  Chief of Afia-ayensa/ Yamoah Nkwanta under the Awutu Traditional Area in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, has sworn the oath of allegiance to the Paramount Chief of Awutu, Nai Abokoade Whetey Aygemang Otabil III at a colourful ceremony at the Nai Odinku's Palace in Awutu Breku.

The  Chief of Awutu Afia-ayensa/Yamoah Nkwanta under the Awutu Traditional Area in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, has sworn the oath of allegiance to the Paramount Chief of Awutu, Nai Abokoade Whetey Aygemang Otabil III at a colourful ceremony at the Nai Odinku's Palace in Awutu Breku.

Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, who doubles as Egya Odefey (Fire Chief) of Awutu Traditional Council has also sworn the oath to the various priests and priestesses including the leaderships of the Awutu Asafo No. One and No.Two Companies.

The occasion was also used to swear in some other chiefs into the Awutu Traditional Council, giving the traditional backing to them as the legally, traditionally and customarily installed divisional chiefs of their communities.

Prior to the swearing in, the newly-installed chief who doubles as the Egya Odefey (Fire Chief) of Awutu Traditional Council, has was then carried in a palanquin and paraded through the streets from Awutu Traditional Council to the Awutu Breku-Kasoa-Winneba main road.

After the swearing in, the Paramount Chief of Awutu asked the chief of Afia-ayensa/Yamoa Nkwanta  for loyalty, dedication and honesty from the chief of Yamoa Nkwanta.
The Paramountcy noted that educating the youth was one of his major concerns of the kingdom’s developmental agenda. 

He therefore urged chief of Afia-ayensa/Yamoa Nkwanta to use his acquired skills in life to transform and promote the development of the various villages and towns under his chieftaincy jurisdiction and the Awutu as a whole.
He entreated Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I to endeavor to serve the Yamoa Nkwanta Stool and the Awutu Traditional Council with dedication, honesty and ensure that justice was done to all manner of people.

Shortly after Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, had sworn the oath, there was jubilation among his followers sprinkling powder on themselves as a sign of victory as fontonfrom drums throbbed in the background.
The new chief was then led to exchange greetings with Nai Abokoade Whetey Aygemang Otabil III, Naakye Dode Akaabi XIII and other chiefs from the various Awutu communities. 

Addressing the gathering, Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I assured the citizens of the area to work hard to serve their interests.
 
"I would not let you down at all . So anytime you call on me to come should in case any unforseen happened l would respond to your call," Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I made these assurances in his oath to the chiefs and citizens of Awutu Traditional Area.
