Divisional Chief of Yamoah Nkwanta under the Awutu Traditional Area in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, has accused one Teacher Olu and other people of invading and terrorizing lives of land developers and residents which situation is currently possing insecurity and fear in the area.

Divisional Chief of Yamoah Nkwanta under the Awutu Traditional Area in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, has accused one Teacher Olu and other people of invading and terrorizing lives of land developers and residents which situation is currently possing insecurity and fear in the area.

According to Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, who doubles as Egya Odefey (Fire Chief) of Awutu Traditional Council, several reports made to the Central East District Police Command and Kasoa District Police Division have not yielded any result and the land guards led by Teacher Olu continued to operate in the Yamoa Nkwanta with impunity.
The situation, the chief lamented is brewing high tension in the community which results to fear and panic.

According to him, the lang-guards, wielding guns and machetes, operating for Teacher Olu do not only cause damage to uncompleted buildings and footings of developers but also infringe machete wounds on residents and developers.
Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, bemoaned that the situation has become a source of worry this is not the first, the second, or third time we are being attacked and our properties being destroyed by Teacher Olu purported being the owner of the lands and it is becoming alarming as we live in fear.
Against this backdrop, the visibly worried chief is calling on the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to impress upon the Inspector General of Police (IGP), National Security Minister and relevant security agencies to come to their aid as their lives are in danger.

"However, having been a law abiding citizen who has been legally, customarily and traditionally installed chief and member of the chiefs in the Awutu Traditional Council, l don't want to take the law into my hand, l need peace and unity in Yamoa Nkwanta. So l am using your platform to call on our President, His Excellent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to impress upon the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and National Security Minister to call Teachers Olu and his followers to order in order to forestall peace and tranquility in Yamoa Nkwanta," the chief appealed.

"We have reported these human insecurity and confusion cases to the police and these case pending in the police station, but still Teacher Olu and his people were beating the land developers so l am calling on the government to deploy the personnel of national security agencies to come our aid in Yamoa Nkwanta" the chief stressed.
Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, made the call in an interview with journalists when he has sworn the oath of allegiance to the Paramount Chief of Awutu, Nai Abokoade Whetey Aygemang Otabil III at a colourful ceremony at the Nai Odinku's Palace in Awutu Breku.

Nai Kwoa Achiene Acheampong Kumah I, who doubles as Egya Odefey (Fire Chief) of Awutu Traditional Council has also sworn the oath to the various priests and priestesses including the leaderships of the Awutu Asafo No. One and No.Two Companies.

The occasion was also used to swear in some other chiefs into the Awutu Traditional Council, giving the traditional backing to them as the legally, traditionally and customarily installed divisional chiefs of their communities.
Prior to the swearing in, the newly-installed chief who doubles as the Egya Odefey (Fire Chief) of Awutu Traditional Council, has was then carried in a palanquin and paraded through the streets from Awutu Traditional Council to the Awutu Breku-Kasoa-Winneba main road.

The chief called on the elders and the youths to support him to develop the area, since he has been giving the traditional legal backing to become successful chief of the area.
He assured that he would make a lot of efforts by the using his Chieftaincy position to ensure of bringing of peace, unity, socioeconomic development and growth to the area.
