Northern Regional Minister pays courtesy call on Overlord of Dagbon

The Northern Regional Minister, Shani Alhassan Shaibu, has paid a courtesy call on the overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Abukari II at the Gbewa Palace in Yendi.
The purpose of his visit was to introduce himself to the King as the new Northern Regional Minister and to ask for a blessing.
At the Gbewa palace, the Northern Regional Minister commended the King of Dagbon for pursuing peace in the Kingdom since he was enskinned two years ago. He assured to do everything possible to sustain harmony among residents to drive Dagbon forward in terms of infrastructures.
He told that development in the Region cannot be done by him alone therefore a call was made to the people to support him in his initiatives.
The Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Abukari II, congratulated the Northern Regional Minister and thanked President Akufo-Addo for appointing him to head the region.
He finally blessed him and assured of support to ensure the development of Dagbon and the sustainability of the peace they are enjoying.
