The Chief of Domeabra in Ga South Municipal in the Greater Accra Nii Atoafase has opined that the decision taken by the Headmistress of the Achimota School to deny a Rastafarian student admission is a step in the right direction.

The denial of the Rastafarian student admission to the Achimota school has been in the major tabloids in the country for the past 5 days. The student according to authorities of the school does not qualify to be admitted to the school since he has dreadlocks, something the school says is against their code and conducts because one cannot enter the school with long hair.

Many people have sympathized with the school while others believe it is discrimination against the Blackman and Rastafarians because there are some White students of the School who also have grown long hairs.

This as a result has gingered Chief of Domeabra, Nii Atoafase, to speak about the issue, stating that, the rules and regulations of Achimota school should not be undermined by Rastafarians.

He said the authorities are on track, therefore, should not be intimidated to rescind their decision.

He has therefore commended the authorities of Achimota school for their failure to give admission to this Rastafarians children in Achimota school, adding that this bold decision by Achimota school authorities will tell each and everyone that there are rules and regulations which govern every institution.

He has advised parents, children, and all Ghanaians to conform to the rules and regulations that govern a particular organization.
