Bono East Regional house of chiefs holds maiden General meeting in 2021
The Regional Minister, Hon Akwasi Adu Gyan, promised to build an auditorium that will serve as a meeting hall for the Regional House of Chiefs.
The Bono East Regional House of Chiefs last Tuesday, 6th July 2021, held its maiden general meeting of the year.
The meeting which was held at the Bamiri Social centre in the region's capital was chaired by the President of the House, who doubles as the Omanhene of Yeji Traditional Area, Pemapem Yaw Kabrese V and was attended by all members of the house representing the various Traditional Areas in the Bono East Region, the Regional Minister, Hon Akwasi Adu Gyan and some representatives from the Bono East Coordinating Council.
Addressing the gathering, Pemapem Yaw Kabrese V, revealed that he and the other Paramount Chiefs in the region are effortlessly combating disputes among various chiefs in the region which if not addressed may lead to insecurity in the region.
He said they have put measures in place to curtail these disputes and so far, the measures have proven to be fruitful.
As custodians of the land, the President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs said said "Nananom" are doing anything in their powers to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and also undertake various developmental projects in the region.
Pemapem Yaw Kabrese V urged the Regional Minister and the Regional Coordinating Council to always collaborate with the Chiefs in their respective Traditional Areas for any developmental projects governor wants to embark on in the community's because there can not be any developmental in a community without the concern of the traditional leaders.
Hon Akwasi Adu Gyan on the part of the government assured the Regional House of Chiefs that his office will constantly consult the traditional leaders to ensure the steady development of the region.
The regional Minister also promised to build an auditorium that will serve as a meeting hall for the Regional House of Chiefs.
