Cheif Executive Officer of Ghana Enterprise Agency Charged Apprentice To Make Use of Start Up Kits. 

The beneficiaries received a six-month training in Dressmaking, Hairdressing, Barbering, Leather Works, Auto Electricals, Welding and Fabrication, Baking and Confectionery, and Auto-mechanic among others were provided with the necessary tools to enable them to start their own business and to create wealth for their families.

Cheif Executive Officer of Ghana Enterprise Agency Charged Apprentice To Make Use of Start Up Kits. 

Apprentices who completed the apprenticeship program of Ghana Enterprises Agency/Mastercard Foundation Young Africa Works say startup kits given to them to establish themselves have restored their hopes in life as the Chief Executive Officer hands over startup kits to them.

According to them, the majority of them lost hope in life due to financial challenges but the startup kits and the training have revived through hope for the future. 

They pledge to work with the kits given to them to create jobs and wealth for their families and communities.

The Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA)/Mastercard Foundation Young Africa Works Project is under one of GEA’s flagship Programs, the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Programme (YEEP).

YEEP has been upgraded and its job-focused version is for all the apprenticeship and technical training programs undertaken by GEA to equip the teeming youth with employable skills to support our existing entrepreneurs to create employment among the youth. 

The beneficiaries received a six-month training in Dressmaking, Hairdressing, Barbering, Leather Works, Auto Electricals, Welding and Fabrication, Baking and Confectionery, and Auto-mechanic among others were provided with the necessary tools to enable them to start their own business and to create wealth for their families.

The Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Kosi Yankey-Ayeh speaking in an interview siad, over 340 apprentices have benefited from the startup kits within Bono Region.

The CEO in her speech urged the apprentices to be zealous and work with the kits given to them to help reduce the unemployment rate faced by the country.

Honorable Ansu Kumi, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive also mentioned that, is the government's goal to implement a lot of job policies in the country to straighten out the unemployment situation facing the youth nationwide hence the move to provide the free startup kits to the youth to enable them to be of themselves. 

According to him, the government is working extremely hard to offer every youth the available skills and training to help them start up their businesses to minimize the high cost of living among the people most especially the youth in the country.
