Ahafo Region: Amanfrom Electrocuted Victims Get Support
Seven people were pronounced dead at Amanfrom near Hwidiem in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region following electrocution.

The 2020 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Asutifi South constituency, Yaw Owusu Brempong paid a visit to the chiefs and people of Amanfrom in Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region.
The visit was aimed at commiserating with families who suffered the ghastly incident of Friday 14th May 2021.
It would be recalled that, on the said day, a thunderstorm ripped through the Amanfrom township, resulting in the electrocution to death of 7 people and the hospitalisation of 5 others. Also, there was recorded destruction of properties running into several thousands of cedis.
"Having been informed of the incident, while I was out of the jurisdiction, I assured the victims of my widow's might in their moments of need. As promised, I am Amanfrom today to wipe the tears of the affected and strengthen them in my own little way, he narrated.
He used the opportunity to urge everyone to come to the aid of the affected families.
"Also, I made a modest donation of GH¢5,000 to support the families of the disaster victims," he told the press.
