150 desks to  seven  D-A elementary schools in the Awutu senya West district

Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West presented 150 desks to seven  D/A elementary schools in the Awutu senya West district which made Headmasters and school children delighted.

Students and Headmasters at Awutu Akropong primary school in the Awutu Senya West district central region are overjoyed when the member of parliament for the area, Hounrable Gizella Agbotui Tetteh, donated 150 desks to the seven schools in the district.

Some of the schools that benefited from the 150 desks are,

Okwampa Basic school,

Adawukwa Basic school,

Mfadwen Anglican Basic school

Senya Methodist Basic school

Senya D/A Basic 'A'

Obrachire D/A Basic school and Obrachire D/A Basic 'B' school.

Speaking with soireenews, the headmaster for Obrachire Basic 'B', Mr. Selt Aseidu said he is pleased that the students of the seven schools including his school Obrachire Basic'B' will be able to study comfortably starting today.

According to him, for the past two years, the students of Obrachire Basic  'B' carry kitchen stools to school due to a lack of desks.

He claims that pupils have been learning on the kitchen stool for the past two years, which is hindering their learning activities. 

He joins the rest of the schools in thanking Hon. Gizella for this wonderful surprise, and he anticipates more. 


Some students at Obrachire Basic'B' also express gratitude to Honorable. Gizella and pray for her continued success because they have been carrying kitchen stools to school for many years till now Hounrable Gizella Agbotui Tetteh has rescued them to make their learning activities easy.


Furthermore, during the donation of the 150 desks to the seven schools in the Awutu senya West district, Hon. Gizella Agbotui Tetteh, member of parliament for Awutu senya West district central region, explained to Soireenews Reporter that the Awutu senya district assembly has been a disgrace for not being able to provide desks for the students who are our future leaders for the past two years. 

She implied that she had promised to do so throughout her campaign and that she was expected to prove it. 

She promised to do more in the constituency after she was elected to the House of Commons.
