Managing Director of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Mr Kwame Agyemang-Budu has assured of his outfit commitment and readiness to continue to roll out technological innovation projects and programs to position the company to achieve its long-term goals and vision.

Mr Agyemang-Budu gave this assurance when he was addressing the gathering to launch the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in Accra.

Dubbed “SWITCH,” a new digital transformational system, has the primary purpose of scaling up its operations through digital transformation in the bid to enhance its business in an effective and efficient manner.

The ERP project seeks to streamline the company's business processes by instituting one integrated software to run and share information across the entire business and operations of the company only on the ERP software.

It will also create a viable platform of integrated data systems where organizational issues and challenges will be addressed digitally.

The cutting-edge project ties into the implementation of an ERP software that adds value to their operations and also ensures the availability of consistent data to enable the company to achieve its operational excellence in satisfying its cherished customers.

According to Mr Kwame Agyemang-Budu, SWITCH will bring on board enormous benefits to ECG, adding that the project will enhance its capacity in the long term through its digital transformation in delivering services within the various departments.

The Managing Director noted that the company has rolled out the project to enhance key operations with the state of the art technology in business management.

According to him, the project will lead to a digital transformation in its operations at the head office including the regions and the districts, adding that management will support it with the needed resources to make it successful to boost the company’s future.

He, therefore, urged the entire staff to make the necessary inputs into the project and explained further that the gesture will challenge management to be committed to ensuring that the project lives up to expectation.

For his part, the Board Chairman of Electricity Company of Ghana, Mr Keli Gadzekpo said the ERP systems will help build an effective means of facilitating seamless information flow on the day-to-day management and the achievement of long-term goals of the departments within the ECG.

“I urge all the stakeholders to embrace and make inputs in the project to enable ECG to stand out in the successful execution of its mandate to its respective customers”, he said and commended all for making the initiative a reality.

He challenged the board, management, and the staff as well as the contractors and consultants working on the project to ensure quality and timely delivery of the project.
