Three MUSIGA Top Shots Granted GH¢ 20,000 Bail  Each With Two Sureties

The court presided over by Her Ladyship, Mis Ama Adumaku Kwakye granted three in the persons of the Acting President of MUSIGA, Mr Bessa Simons, Acting Treasurer of MUSIGA, Mr Samuel Kofi Agyemang and Accountant of MUSIGA, Mr Issah Chief bail to the tune of GH¢ 20,000.00 with two sureties.

The Kaneshie District Court of the Greater Accra Region has granted bail to the three top officials of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) who have allegedly forged the signature of the General Secretary of the MUSIGA, Mrs. Deborah Freeman, and attempted to withdraw monies from the Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited (CBG) account of the Union.

The court presided over by Her Ladyship, Mis Ama Adumaku Kwakye granted three in the persons of the Acting President of MUSIGA, Mr. Bessa Simons, Acting Treasurer of MUSIGA, Mr. Samuel Kofi Agyemang, and Accountant of MUSIGA, Mr. Issah Chief bail to the tune of GH¢ 20,000.00 with two sureties.

The decision comes after several attempts by lawyers for the accused to be granted bail by the Court.

The suspects have been charged with the degree of felony and conspiracy to commit a crime.

All the three however pleaded not guilty to these charges.

They are expected to reappear before the court on May 25, 2022.
