The details of Ilkay Gundogan’s contract with Barcelona have been revealed.

The German midfielder has left Manchester City for the LaLiga champions as a free agent after seven years in England.

Gundogan has put pen to paper on a contract until June 2025.

However, the deal has a clause to extend his stay at the Nou Camp until 2026.

Barcelona have also included a €400m release clause for the 32-year-old, who was monitored by Arsenal and clubs in Saudi Arabia before making his decision.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted: “Details of Ilkay Gündogan deal:

“€400m release clause;

“Contract until June 2025;

“Clause to extend until 2026.”

Manchester City earlier announced that their captain Ilkay Gundogan has left to join Barcelona.

The German midfielder joined the Premier League champions seven years ago from Borussia Dortmund.

He was Pep Guardiola’s first summer signing at the Etihad.

Gundogan went on to score 60 goals in 304 appearances for City.
