At Aplaku Hill, two teenagers drowned in a pool

Two families are demanding answers for their teenage children who drowned in a pool at an Aplaku Hill event center.

Olivia Tetteh, a student at St John's Senior High School, and Christabel Agyekum, a student at Saltpond Senior High School, have been identified as the victims.

According to the information acquired, the two proceeded to the resort to swim, but they were stopped by a live guard who went in search of a life jacket for them.

The live guard, however, is said to have met the two adolescents in the pool's bottom when he returned in less than five minutes.

The two were fully clothed and drowned in the seven-foot section of the pool, according to reports.

In an interview, the victims' families challenged the situational report supplied by the lifeguard and hotel management.

The father of one of the victims, who is also an Immigration Officer, is baffled as to how the two teenagers could die in less than five minutes after allegedly entering the pool.

He believes the entire tale is a cover-up of what happened on Monday, June 13 in the morning.

Christabel Agyekum's mother, Josephine Amoah, has asked authorities to look into the matter and bring justice to the families.
