45 years old Kwodwo who is a resident of Abakrampa has been electrocuted to death by a striking thunder at Asebu in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District of the Central Region on his way to drink alcohol after a hard day's work.

Speaking to an eyewitness, Ras Kobby explained that, the deceased and his two labourers were making cement blocks but unfortunately the heavy downpour stopped them so they decided to go to a drinking spot nearer to them to drink alcohol to heat their body since they were feeling cold.

He explained to Alex that, the deceased was on the lead and upon reaching the entrance of the spot, thunderstruck and electrified any metal in the drinking spot so when he touched the metal gate at the entrance of the spot he got electrocuted and died instantly.

"He shouted and fell down and people rushed to the scene but upon reaching there, he was already dead with his mouth opened."

He stressed that a high tension electric pole was inside the spot in which the owner has managed to build the spot so the thunder got reflected by the waves of the electricity and electrified the whole place which caused 45-year-old Kwodwo to meet his untimely death.
