Some Articulator drivers who Drive from Ghana to other neighboring African countries have expressed displeasure over the recent increase in fuel prices. they say the increase will affect them drastically.

Articulator Drivers Unhappy Over Current Fuel Price Increment

The majority of drivers have kicked against fare increment which is due to the unstable price of fuel. The previous proposed 40 percent increment of lorry fares was kicked off by the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU). The drivers were told to exercise patience and wait for the outcome of the tripartite committee made up of the Ministry of Transport, fuel operators, and transport operators as they engage and determine the appropriate transport fares.

Some  Articulator drivers who Drive from Ghana to other neighboring African countries have expressed displeasure over the recent increase in fuel prices. they say the increase will affect them drastically.

They complained that the prices of fuel products had gone up, the step would give rise to hardship on consumers.

Fuel prices have however increased significantly by 6.2 percent today Tuesday 1, February 2022.

Reacting to this effect, the Government recently explained that the increases in prices in the deregulated downstream petroleum industry is a global trend.

Meanwhile, Soireenew's engagement with some Foreign drivers discloses that they are much worried over the recent increment.

Ghana's fuel price is too high compared to other countries like Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, and others. They stressed.
