Honourable Ben Ayiku has brightened the corners of Teshie Sangonaa, a fishing community located along the coastal areas in the Greater Accra Region through his street lights installation initiative.

The exercise was in line with the unwavering commitment of the Member of Parliament to install street lights at every nook and cranny within the constituency.

The massive exercise was taken up by the MP and his " Let there be light" team at the Teshie Sangonaa.

Areas covered during the installation of the LED street lights include the landing beach site, fishnet mending and patching area, fish processing pavilion site, premix fuel sales point and the dry dock area.

The exercise attracted scores of excited-looking residents who described the gesture as a welcome relief since they can now afford to freely move about in the night,  hitherto, one could not dare for fear of being attacked by unknown hoodlums.

Teshie was known to be the largest fishing community with the sea serving as the major source of livelihood for thousands of its inhabitants before the establishment of the Tema Fishing Harbour.
