Arrest the Dakpema Palace gunmen to curtail further consequences - Dema-Naa Musah demands

Tamale Dakpema Dema-Naa, Naa Musah Adam has tasked the Ghana Police Service to investigate and apprehend the gunmen who in the early hours of today Monday attacked the Dakpema Palace.

"We are calling on the police and the government to take the matter very seriously, they should immediately investigate the matter to curtail further consequences, the injured were inside the room when the stray bullets hit them, they're all at the hospital receiving treatment, we know there is law in this country, so the law must take its full course".

He revealed that the gunmen stormed the palace with two pick-up vehicles with sophisticated weapons and then open fire at the palace without any provocation.

The planned attack, according to him has led to about three persons sustaining various degrees of gunshots.

At the time of the report, Chief Musah told Soireenews at the palace that, Nyeb Tamale Dakpema, his eminent Naa Bawa Fuseini is in stable condition upon the atrocity caused by the gunmen.

Chief Musah however appealed to residents of Tamale to remain calm for the police to take the necessary action.

"The youth should not try to retaliate, we are on the ground monitoring how events unfold, and we will let the public know the palace's next line of action, for now, we want peace". He added.

The cause of the Dakpema Palace attack is yet to be established, and Soireenews.com will update its readers soon.

Meanwhile, all the three injured persons including the chief are at the Tamale Teaching Hospital receiving medical attention.
