Thousands Of Ayikai-Doblo Youths Jubilate Over Installing Of Nii Doodo As Their New Chief
Describing Nii Dodoo as a “unifier, team builder, peacemaker and a good listener, the youth stated that Nii Doodo who was born and bred in Ayikai Doblo has chieftaincy leadership credentials and also visible, submissive and they believed strongly that since he was now installed the Chief of the area, he would continue to work hard to transform the lives of citizens, particularly the youths in the area.

Thousands of youths living in Ayikai Doblo community in the Ga West municipality of the Greater Accra Region have overwhelming welcomed the decision of the kingmakers and elders to install Nii Amu Doodo popularly known as Nii Azooto TJ as new Chief of the area to succeed the late substantive Chief, Nii Ayikai Doblo, who passed on in 2017.
Describing Nii Dodoo as a “unifier, team builder, peacemaker and a good listener, the youth stated that Nii Doodo who was born and bred in Ayikai Doblo has chieftaincy leadership credentials and also visible, submissive and they believed strongly that since he was now installed the Chief of the area, he would continue to work hard to transform the lives of citizens, particularly the youths in the area.
Speaking in an interview with this reporter during his visit to Ayikai Doblo community Tuesday April 17, 2023, days after successful installing of Nii Amu Doodo under the stool name, Nii Ayikai Doblo IV, scores of the youth who had converged on the palace of the Ayikai-Doblo Stool maintained that the achievements chalked by Nii Doodo as the lawful and legal caretaker for Ayikai Doblo stool lands were unprecedented.
According to the youths, the elders and kingmakers made a good choice of selecting screening and installing Nii Amu Doodo as their news chief because they believed that he was the good personal to be installed a new chief saying that he would to work hard to bring sustainable development to the area.

Nii Doodo, who is hard working citizen of Ayikai Doblo, as their new Chief because he has done a lot in bringing social and economic initiatives to improve to the lives of the people, particularly the youths in the area.
They mentioned that the newly installed chief even at the time he was installed has been using his personal monies to pay the school fees of some needy pupils and students, medical bills of some of the youth, orderlies and lactating mothers.
He also bought motor bikes and taxi cabs for the youths to be used for commercial driving business.
They mentioned that the great success of Ayikai-Doblo was accomplished with the able leadership of Nii Doodo.
They stressed that Nii Dodoo has “proven beyond all reasonable doubts” that the Paramount Chief of Akumajen Stool, Nii Ayikai III, together with his elders who have granted a Power of Attorney (PA) to him to represent the Akumajen Stool in all matters relating to land transactions in Ayikai Doblo community under Ga Mashie made the right choice.
They pointed that they were full of praise to our kingmakers and elders because since
he has been granted a power of attorney to take care of the lands in the area. Nii Doodo has distinguished himself as a development-oriented, human-centered individual as well as a great asset to the Ayikai-Doblo community.
"We are thanking our kingmakers and elders for their wisdom to install him as the new Mantse of Ayikai Doblo.We ready to rally behind Nii Ayikai Doblo IV to help bring the needed development to the area," the youth stressed
The youths also noted that Ayikai-Doblo community has benefitted from several developmental projects including schools, hospitals, sporting facilities, water and sanitation, law and security, economic development and roads all through the instrumentality of Nii Dodoo.
According to them, Nii Doodo has demonstrated a very good working relationship with the heads of the seven families, assembly member, market folk(s), persons living with disabilities (PWDs), students, traditional office holders and religious leaders, and that they believed that his installation as their new Chief would bridge the poverty gap in the area.
“Nii Doodo is someone who believes in development, as such, if he is given another chance to continue with his vision, Ayikai-Doblo community would become one of the best in the Greater Accra Region,” they said.
Nii Amu Doodo Installed
Ayikai Doblo community has been without a chief for years.
A ceremony in the Ayikai Doblo township which was performed by the Chief Priest of the Ga State, Nai Wulomo on Sunday April 16, 2023 saw the completion of processes for the installation of a new Ayikai Doblo Mantse (chief).
This peacefully ceremony follows the outdooring of Nii Amu Doodo popularly known as Nii Azooto TJ as the new Chief of the area to succeed the late substantive Chief, Nii Ayikai Doblo III, who passed on in 2017.
The new chief who has been installed received overwhelming support from thousands of youths including opinion leaders and other traditional office holders living in Ayikai Doblo under the Akumadjen Traditional Area in the Ga State.
This comes on the back of a 6-year dispute among varying factions who lay claim to the throne usually ending up in ill feeling among the feuding groups.
The current development means the new traditional leader will rule under the stool name –Nii Ayikai Doblo IV.
At the ultimate moment of the ceremony, the Chief Priest of the Ga State, Nai Wulomo lifted Nii Ayikai Doblo IV hands and pronounced him as the legitimate occupant of the Ayikai Doblo Divisional Stool, drawing spontaneous cheers from the gathering.
The occasion put Ga chieftaincy culture on display, with drumming, dance and traditional regalia fully on show.
While it lacked the presence of the youth and women’s groups, it did not lack the electrifying atmosphere, as traditional music and dance gripped the impressive crowd in attendance.
Speaking in an interview with journalists, Nii Ayikai Doblo IV thanked the elders,opinion leaders,youths, business men and women in Ayikai Doblo.for their quick and emense support towards the enstoolment .
He happily thanked the Akumadjen Mantse, Nii Ayikai III, the Muslim communities in Ga West municipality and Nai Wulomo for their wisdom and support.
Nii Ayikai Doblo IV assured residents and citizens of Ayikai Doblo community of unity, peace and human centered development.
Adding his voice on the unity call for speedy development, the newly installed chief the area called of the disgruntled personalities to bury their individual difference.
He stressed the need for them to rally behind him to prioritise the welfare and livelihoods of youths, residents, members, supporters, sympathisers and well-wishers of the Ayikai Doblo community.
"My peacefully and successfully installation as a new chief to ascend the throne of Ayikai Doblo Divisional Area re-affirms my long planned vision to lead the people Ayikai Doblo to bring the needed social and infrastructure developmental projects to the area.
"In this regard I would like to plead to those who l have some misunderstandings with to forgive me. I have stand for peace and unity and l am promising to lead the Ayikai Doblo of the Ga State to the path of restoration, with truth and trust as his guiding principles, to bring unity to the Ga state and among the people.
The chief emphasised that what was required for the people of Ayikai Doblo to occupy its rightful place in the Ga State and contribute significantly to national development was for all of its people to be united and discard selfishness and other destructive tendencies.
"Let us learn from the proverbial broom; a broom stick can be broken easily and it cannot even sweep; but if you have a bunch of them, it is hard to break them and they sweep better," he said.
He assured the people of Ayikai Doblo origin that his ultimate goal would be to offer leadership that would bring hope to the youth and rekindle the lost glory of the Ayikai Doblo.
“I did not come to rule over you; I came to serve you. I have to bring unity among us so that glory will return to the Ayikai Doblo community. We want prosperity and peace. The Ayikai Doblo will never be the same," he said.He called for calm.
Nii Ayikai Doblo IV indicated that the promotion of education and the development would be a top priority for him during his reign as the Ayikai Doblo Mantse.
