The Acting President of Akuapem Traditional Council in the Eastern Region, Otobour Gyan Kwasi II, has sounded a strong word of caution to the scores of various recalcitrant chiefs and other traditional office holders in Okuapeman to desist from their continuous practices of causing unnecessary confusion and tension or else they would incur their wrath for their wrong doings.

Aburihene and Adontenhene of Okuapeman, noted that would not sit down unconcerned this time for these self seeking chiefs to continue to attack his intergrty and hard won reputation.

He reaffirmed that he is still the Akuapem Traditional Council until the chieftaincy issues against the Akuapem Paramountcy are solved and the new Paramount Chief of Akuapem Traditional is installed the ancerd the throne.

According to him, Otobour Gyan Kwasi II, there are deleberate attempt by the Ahwerease  Mankrado of Asona family of Akuapem to mislead his followers that he is not under the rule of him as Acting President of Akuapem Traditional Council.

He noted that if the Ahwerease Mankrado feels and his followers feel that they would not serve him as the Acting President of Akuapem Traditional Council, then they should leave Okuapeman and go to their Homeland to serve their Paramount Chief.

Addressing a press conference in Aburi on Wednesday September 14, 2022, Otobour Gyan Kwasi II warned the people of Asona family of Akuapem to desist from their continuous habits of showing gross disrespect to him and his kigsmen.

"I am warning the Asona people living in Akuapem to shut-up and keep mute, Aburi Chief stressed, saying that their actions and inactions were posing threat to the peaceful coexistence in the Akwapem Traditional Area.

He maintained that what were happenings within the Okuapeman does not mean that he don't have traditional capacity to talk about them but for the seek of peace he has held on to them.

He pointed that he has been looking for the appropriate time to tackle these issues with the people Asuna family which could bring peace and development to the Okuapeman.

Against this backdrop, Otobour Gyan Kwasi II called on the people living in the area to be  self discipline and devoid of the negative practices that would land them into the  wrong side of the law.
