Amegavieso Council Nullifies Alleged Illegal Enstoolment Of Torgbui Akumsah VII In Avenorpedo

The Amegavieso Council of Elders (AMECO) has officially declared the recent installation of a new traditional leader in Avenorpedo null, void, and of no legal or customary effect.

In a strongly worded public notice issued by the council, elders described the events taking place between July 13 and July 15, 2026, as a "fraudulent installation" and a "charade" that directly undermines established traditional governance and ancestral lineage.

According to the council, the individual outdoored by name Prosper Gawonya Dorkenoo a.k.a Ola as Torgbui Akumsah VII has no legitimate claim to the traditional seat without proper customary clearance. 

AMECO emphasized that the territory of Avenorpedo remains the absolute and indisputable property of Torgbui Amegavieso Dutor of Avenor. 

Traditional leadership and land custodianship in the area flow through a historic, unbroken lineage passing from Torgbui Amegavieso to Tuvorvi, and down to Akumsah.

"Let it be unequivocally understood that no chief can, or ever will, be installed on Torgbui Amegavieso land without his explicit, written permission and consent," the Council of Elders stated in their official declaration.

 "Any attempt to bypass this authority is a direct violation of our ancestral rights and will not be tolerated."

The council has urged the general public, local institutions, and the media to completely disregard the purported enstoolment.

Furthermore, AMECO issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to recognize, promote, or utilize the title of Torgbui Akumsah VII moving forward.

Elders stated that individuals or groups backing the rival faction are operating outside the law and will face swift, unyielding legal and customary action without any further warnings. 

Local authorities are expected to monitor the situation closely to ensure peace and order are maintained within the Avenorpedo enclave.
