The head Pastor of Baptist Church who was also the Chairman of Bechem Local Council of Churches in Tano South District of the Ahafo Region, Rev Frimpong Boadu has encouraged Assembly Members including Government Appointees in the Ahafo Region to confirm the President’s nominees to the various Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

According to him, political affiliation should not be the reason a competent person could be denied an opportunity to serve.

Its expectations of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) is that all the six MMDCEs nominees by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo receive 100 per cent endorsement.

He advised Nominees to ensure all-inclusive leadership at the local level, they should monitor and evaluate activities of the various areas to ensure Assembly Members get the necessary support they need at their various electoral areas.

He, therefore, appealed to Assembly members not to delay the confirmation of MMDCEs.

Rev Frimpong Boadu explained that residents were faced with developmental challenges within the various electoral areas, saying any further delay in confirming MMDCEs would only have a dire replication on the electorate.
