Following a head-on collision between an articulated truck and a commercial bus carrying passengers, many people are fighting for their lives.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at about 9:00 p.m., an accident happened at Oframase, close to the Nkawkaw section of the Accra to Kumasi Highway in the Eastern region.

An eyewitness claims that both vehicles attempted to overtake a stationary Rhino truck carrying charcoal in the middle of the road without looking in the direction of oncoming traffic, which is what caused the head-on crash.

The passengers of the bus, especially those in the front seats, were gravely hurt, according to an eyewitness shortly after the collision.

A few minutes later, according to him, the police showed up at the site to transport the victims to the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw.

A sprinter bus traveling from Accra to Kumasi with the registration number AC 435 -20 was involved in the accident.

Speeding caused a tire to rupture on the Sprinter bus, which caused the driver to lose control and crash.
