A sad report coming from Appeasumang D/A Basic School in the Wassa East District of the Western Region indicates that, an unknown arsonist has set the Head teacher's office ablaze leading to the total burning of vital document of the school.
In an interview with the assembly man for Subri electoral area Honourable Isaac Kwame Kumi, the incident happened yesterday at dawn around 4:00am.
He stated that, it was around 7:30am yesterday in the morning when the office was opened before they saw what has happened.
According to Honounable Kumi, the shocking aspect of the whole incident is that, the office door was firm, the windows were also firm, the office keys were also set in number and no part of the office building has broken to enable even an aunt to enter but the unknown arsonist manovoured into the office to burn the school's property.
He stressed that the case was immediately reported to the Akyempim police for investigations into the matter. The police has so far invited some of the teaching staff of the school to assist them with investigations.
Honourable Isaac Kwame Kumi assured the police that, the entire Appeasumang community is not happy about the situation and so they would also provide any related tipoff to the police in their investigations to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to book.

Some of the residents who spoke with Wassa East based radio station WASSAMAN FM off record disclosed that, one of the teachers said, "I wish the entire office was completely burnt.
Some of them also said, they saw the suspect in a face mask at the time that they had woke up around 4:00am to prepare for market and so, they suspect that, it was an insider (from the teachers) who could do such a thing.
