13 killed, Several Injured In Fatal Accident At Konongo
The injured people were rushed to the Konongo Government hospital for treatment while the deceased have been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy.

An accident that occurred on Sunday evening, around 10 pm between Konongo on the Accra-Kumasi road in the Ashanti Region has claimed the lives of 13 people.
The accident is reported to have occurred on Sunday evening, around 10 pm between an Accra-Kumasi bound bus and a Cargo Truck at Konongo.
An eyewitness who spoke to the media said one of the buses attempted to overtake another vehicle which led to a head-on collision with an oncoming bus.
The injured people have been rushed to the Konongo Government hospital for treatment while the deceased have been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy.
The Konongo MTTD Commander, DSP Paa Yeboah confirmed the incident and said one of the vehicles attempted to overtake another vehicle when the accident occurred.
Speaking on Accra-based Citi FM monitored by Soireenews.com, he said "the Cargo Truck was coming from the Kumasi direction to Accra and the OA Bus from the Accra direction towards Wa with passengers though it wasn’t full.
"In all, the passengers, driver and mate were 26 persons on board."
"There was a truck ahead of the bus and in an attempt to overtake, it crashed into the other at the front part and both vehicles fell into a ditch. 13 people died on the spot, and about 11 others injured," he added.
The dead comprises 9 males and 4 females.
