At his home, the Chief of Gyengyen, a community in the Volta Region's Krachi West Municipality, was shot by unknown assailants.
The incident occurred on the night of Monday, June 13, 2022, during a brief power outage in the hamlet, according to reports.
Nana Quansah Kpebu II was taken to the Krachi West Municipal Hospital for treatment but was later transported to Accra's 37 Military Hospital for further testing.
According to sources, he was shot in the crotch and will require additional medical attention.
Since then, police officers from the Krachi West Police Command have been dispatched to the town to maintain order and keep the peace.
