Nana Ntiako Agyiri II stated clearly that any cocoa farmers who has use part of their farms for  illegal mining without reclamation  will not be allowed the have the rest of the land left.

The chief of Wasa Dikoto in the Wasa Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Nana Ntiako Agyiri II has asked the government the particular day the illegal mining will stop.

 Nana Ntiako Agyiri II Make this revelation to the people and cocoa farmers of Wasa Dikoto when he held a durbar with the people and cocoa farmers of Wasa Dikoto to clear the rumors that he is aiming to displaced all cocoa farms in  Dikoto and handed over the lands to an Indian investor to use it for palm plantation.

He take the opportunity to ask the government the day illegal mining will stop in Ghana because their lahavehaves been destroyed by illegal mining companies.

Nana Ntiako Agyiri II continues that, about 70% of the lands of Wasa Dikoto have been destroyed by illegal mining (galamsey).

So it is rather the lands which has been destroyed by illegal miners (galamsey) that, he wants to hand over to Indian investors to reclaimed them and use the land for the palm plantation of which palm oil factory will be set up in the community which will open to the job opportunities and also a way of putting a stop to illegal mining in Wasa Dikoto.

But Nana Ntiako Agyiri II stated clearly that any cocoa farmers who have used part of their farms for illegal mining without reclamation will not be allowed the have the rest of the land left.

Also, some of the farmers and sub-chiefs expressed their appreciation and happiness to support their idea and appeal to the Nana Ntiako Agyiri II to make sure proper consultation with them the farmers if the project happens to affect their living.
