Western Region: Road Network is our Major Challenge... Municipal chief Executive Fums.

The Municipal Chief Executive officer for Prestea Huni-valley Municipality of the Western Region Hounrable Dr. Isaac Dasmaani has revealed that the major challenge in his Municipality is poor road network which has made working in the municipality difficult.

Hounrable Dr.Isaac Dasmaani continues that, Prestea Huni-Valley municipality is the second-largest municipality in the country and place first in the Western Region which has a population of over 140,000 but poor road network has been a major contributing factor to the regardless of the development of the municipality. 
Even though some of the roads have been awarded to contracts but some of the contractors are not working up to their tasks of which he referred Bogoso to Prestea road, All the same, he is working in hand with the assembly to get graders to grade some of the roads of which some work has been started.

Also, Hounrable  Dr. Isaac Dasmaani added that illegal mining has gotten no negative effect on his work but looking at the rate at which mining is going on in the municipality and the assembly cannot get any revenue from the mining sector to improve on the development of the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality has become a major worry for him.

 This is because the majority of the concessions in the Municipality have been given to three large-scale miners Goldfields Ghana limited, Angligold, and future Global Resources but the assembly is working hard to get more community mining in the Municipality which the assembly can generate revenue from there.

Finally, he urged the people of Prestea Huni-valley Municipality to cooperate with him to develop Prestea Huni-valley and send words of advice to the youth in the Municipality to deceit from drugs so that they can become a good generation to carry out the mantle of their leader.
