We're Not Satisfied with work done on the Tamale Interchange - Haruna Iddrisu

The Minority leader in Parliament and member of Parliament for the Tamale South Constituency says work at the Tamale Interchange is on a slow pace and substandard.

According to him, the contractor working on the project is likely not to complete the project as expected. Adding that the project will cause inconvenience to motorists if serious attention is not given to the construction work.

He further condemned the contractor for failing to pull down some houses that are close to the interchange.

This according to him, has made roads in the Metropolis very narrow and discomfort for road users.

Honourable Haruna Iddrisu wondered why those houses have not been pulled down, stating that Parliament before the commencement of the project approved monies for the affected homes.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Roads and Highways in a statement in response to the Minority leader's claims today Thursday rubbished the discredit the comments made by the law marker.

The statement mentioned that the contractor is working assiduously to ensure the immediate completion of the project. Noting further that, the houses close to the interchange has no effect.
