Residents of Kunsu in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region have hailed a philanthropist, Nick Danso-Abiam for his intervention in fixing their deplorable roads.

According to the people, the poor road network was their major challenge and several attempts to get government assistance proved futile.

Through the Nkosuohene, Nana Kwasi Sarkodie, businessman, Mr Danso Abiam and chairman of Ghana Link Group of Companies has sponsored the reshaping and gravelling of the road when completed would ease transportation burden.

Some of the residents who spoke to the media believe reliable and dependable road infrastructure will help facilitate the free movement of people, create employment, supports economic growth, enhance access to education and healthcare services and connects people to families.

They, however, commended the businessman for its timely intervention indicating that it will reduce the rate at which drivers charge ‘unreasonable’ fare.

Some of the drivers also shared experiences they have gone through by plying the road and defined the move as right.
