The Assemblyman of Anyaa West, Mr  Micheal Acquah, said the Ghana police service together with other stakeholders is working assiduously to bring the perpetrator to book.

Residents of Anyaa-NIC within the Ga Central Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as a selfish act of one Nii Armah also known as Nii Bokoboko for allegedly winning off sand and gravels within the community for some personal construction works.

According to residents, his act has destroyed many pipelines of the Ghana Water Company (GWCL) thereby cutting water supplies to various homes as well as making the road deplorable by residents to ply. 
          
According to the residents, the latest event occurred on Tuesday, June 22 2021 within the hours of 10:00 pm and 4:00 am when the suspect brought heavy excavators and tractors to wind sand and excavate stones on the Nii Afortey street within the community, and in the process destroyed pipelines that supply water to various homes.

Residents explained that Nii Bokoboko who resides in this green structure collected about five trips of sand which have created inconveniences for them.

The residents told that they have lodged an official complaint with the Sowutuom District Police Command and the Ga Central Municipal Assembly but the authorities had not called the man to order.
