The Principal for Abetifi Kyemase Technical Institute in Abetifi, Mr. Sampson Agbley Botchoey, has urged graduanding students in the institution to refrain from the habit of being over reliance on government for jobs.

Rather, Mr Botchoey stressed the urgent need for the graduands to endeavour to use their skills and knowledge acquired in the school to create sustainable jobs for themselves.
The principal made this known at a graduation ceremony of a total of 84 students and inauguration of the Past Trainers Association of the institution.

Themed;" Free TVET For All , Benefit and the Way  Forward, the occasion was used to entrea graduands to take the mantle in their hands and do something for themselves.
The principal, therefore appealed to the government and education regulatory bodies to assist the institution with water and electricity, as well as classroom blocks and additional workshops, to provide valuable service in the area of quality education.

On his part, the Deputy Eastern Regional Director of Ghana TVET Services, Mr. Scort Brentuo Kyere, who is the guest speaker of the programme advised the graduands to take advantage of opportunities because entrepreneurship is all about innovation.
According to him, the innovation does not end.
For his part the Chairman of both the Occasion and the Old Students Association of the Avotrain (GREAT AVOSA), Mr. Eric Effah Addo, charged the graduands to look beyond the current challenges and stayed focus to set up their entrepreneur skills to achieve their aim.

It's unfortunately, many people are of the view that, entrepreneurship is reserved for people who opted for a formal system of education and that notion/idea is completely wrong, because everybody can venture into entrepreneurship," he stated.
