The lives of pupils and teachers of Bagabaga Demonstration Annex Primary School in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern Region are in danger as academic work is effected under a dilapidated building with cracks and almost half of the roof being ripped off.

The school was built in the early 70s but since then it has not been rehabilitated.

The school which has a population of about 400 lacks teaching and learning materials as well as furniture to accommodate the learners, which makes it problematic for the free flow of academic activities.

Some of the pupils who do not have access to desks are compelled to sit on the bare floor for studies, others carry kitchen stools from homes for studies, the situation which has persisted for a long time.

Some teachers who spoke with SN24 News underscored that several petitions have been submitted to the government of Ghana but no solutions have been offered.

However, they are calling on all stakeholders especially philanthropists to assist in the reconstruction of the ramshackle school building.
