The chief for Ampabame, a town in the Offinso south Municipality Nana Boakye Yiadom has appealed to the government and the Member of Parliament for Offinso south constituency as well as the Ghana Education Service (GES), to Aid A/M/E Zion Basic School swiftly.

He made the appeal on behalf of the school authorities and opinion leaders, who expressed dissatisfaction on the state of the only basic school in the area.

According to the chief, lack of classrooms have compel the school authorities to merged two classrooms to one which has since been worry to all.
 
In an interview with the chief he said, government needs to take up its responsibility to promote access to quality education at the basic level.He therefore urged the Offinso Assembly to increase investment in infrastructure at the basic level of public schools.Meanwhile Residents in the community said they are much worried over the state of the school. 

They say, the sate of schools within the area is so pathetic which needs a swift attention else a worrying situation might be record.

" when it comes to education, it seems we are left out looking at the current state of schools within this area", a resident stressed.

He continued that, several letters were sent during the previous administration same as this current one but has yielded no positive results.

The chief, has however confirmed that, letters has been sent to the assembly as well as  the member of Parliament for the area.
