Former statesman and founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Nyaho Nyaho -Tamakloe revealed that the state's security is at risk.

In an interview with the host of an Accra-based TV XYZ's "the Gumbe Show”, Mugabe Mase asked Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe what troubles him in Ghana in terms of governance, especially when it comes to the youth.

“Making short reference to what he saw under Rawlings’ era when Kufour came in, there were a lot of weapons in their hands”, he explained.

“Stability during that time was shaking. The nation was lucky under Kufour’s era to have national security adviser, Honourable Francis Poku who had experience” he added.

He mentioned that when he was detained during Acheampong's government, the national security adviser, Honourable Francis Poku was the Chief Supt of Police.

“When I was going to be questioned about my involvement, he was the chair of that committee which we haven’t met before. I realized that his attitude changed,” he said.

Finally, he stated that Honourable Francis Poku handled the state's security in a unique manner, as a result of which he was able to collect over half of the firearms.
