Information gathered by Soireenews indicates that two persons sustained multiple injuries at Tutuka as Gonja youth displayed their shooting skills over the burial of Gonja chief, Alhaji Seidu Shakara.

The victims, Elizabeth Nyarko popularly known as Aunty Adwoa Obolo 44, a fried chicken seller and Gifty Agyei 40, a roasted corn seller were the victims of the incident.

Confirming to Soireenews correspondent Yaw Opoku, the Obuasi Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent Joseph Nyaaba stressed that on Thursday around 3 pm, the Police received information that a shooting incident has occurred at the Tutuka lorry terminal which they swiftly went to the scene to gather intelligence.

He said the victims involved were rushed to the AGA hospital for treatment and later discharged.

He stressed that two suspects, Haji Mumuni and Zakaria Idrisu were picked by police on Friday, August 20, after they (suspects) went to pay the hospital bills of the victims, but were bailed on Sunday 22 August 2021 as investigation continues.

Elizabeth Nyarko 44, is pleading with governments and the authority to consider banning shooting in public before burial.
