The Chief of Cherembo Traditional area in the Bono East Region, Cherembowura Wucharre II has lamented over the inaccessibility of roads infrastructure in his community

The Cherembo community has inhabitants of about five hundred (500) and lack proper roads to connect neighboring communities.

Residents in the community found it difficult to travel to the market centers or health centers to access care.

Cherembowura Wucharre II told SN24 News in an interview during a visit to the community that the devastated roads have affected their economic and social lives.

He added that most of their farm produce perished due to the lack of roads therefore farmers do not invest much in the farms because of the fear that they might not get vehicles to convey the produce.

He added that most patients especially, pregnant women who were carried several hours on tricycles, motorbikes, and bicycles to health centers for care died on arrival due to unmotorable roads.

The Chief, therefore, appeals to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to instruct the roads Minister to come to their rescue in fixing the Cherembo community road.
