Two women have sustained multiple injuries at Tutuka as Gonja youth displayed their shooting skill over the burial of Chief, Alhaji Seidu Shakara.

Shooting after burial of a deceased is a ritual normally done by some Northerners but it did not go well this time at Tutuka, a suburb in the Obuasi East District of the Ashanti Region.

Some Gonja Youth who were heading towards Kyekyewere cemetery to bury their late chief, Alhaji Seidu Shakara displayed their shooting skill on Augest 19, 2021 around 3 pm. Upon reaching, Tutuka two men who were on Motorbike mistakenly fired a gun through the crowd, injuring two persons who's name were given by an eyewitness as Aunty Adwoa, a fried chicken seller and Sister Abena, a roasted corn seller both in their 40s.

Soireenews in an engagement with some residents who trade at the Tutuka Lorry terminal told that opinion leaders must put in measures to ban shooting during funeral ceremonies.
