Traditionalists Beat War Drum At Ga Ashifla-As They Declare Wage War On Land-guards 
Residents and traditional authorities in Ashifla in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have declared war on land-guards, blaming the land-guards for the loss of precious lives and properties in the area. 
In the massive demonstration against rampant land-guards attacks in the area, the traditional authorities called on government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to set up a committee to draw up a plan to address vigilantism over land, a pervasive practice in developing areas in Accra.
The rampant activities of armed land-guards are reported to be rising higher on daily basis which has destroyed so many lives and properties in the area.
The mammoth crowd led by the Divisional Chief Nii Okogyeaman I and Asafoakye, Nii Kpakpo were wearing red clothes with red arm bands chanting war songs signifying the torture land-guards are taking them through.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com
 during the demonstration the Divisional chief of Ashifla, Nii Okogyeaman I registered his displeasure over the current happenings in Ashifla which is being orchestrated by notorious land-guards always wielding AK47 riffles.
Some unscrupulous person from Amoaman  have hired armed notorious land-guards to take over lands belonging to Ashifla which is unlawful and worrying , he bemoaned.
He has called on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to beef up security in Ashifla and it environs.
On the other hand, the Gyaasehene of Ashifla Maa-mpehia Nii Akuamoah Santrofi has hinted that, fear and panic has gripped all the residents in the area which government must intervene immediately.
The youth group in Ashifla including women have expressed worry over the notorious activities by land-guards which is affecting livelihood and their daily businesses.
The youth group vowed to arm themselves and fight against the land-guards if the IGP and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo did not act upon their request. immediately
