The Jaman South New Patriotic Party has distanced itself from the derogatory comment meted out to Drobomanhene Okokyeredom Sakyi Ako II  by one Henry Yaw Afful (Henforo) over the closure of Ampenkro D/A Primary School

The first vice-chairman, Henry Yaw Afful on Angel News on a couple of months ago uttered unprotected words against the Drobomanhene over the closure of Ampenkro D/A Primary School.

In the interview, Henforo went hard on the chief for asking him (Henforo) to make the facility available for the teachers and the pupils or the necessary steps would be taken to unlock the classrooms.

The party leaders in a press conference at the party’s office yesterday condemned the act and noted that the party has no hands in the act.

According to executives, the NPP is in a good and healthy relationship with the chiefs in the constituency.

He admitted that though Henry Yaw Afful (Henforo) is the party’s first vice chairman but passed out such comment on his own but not in the interest of the party.

Addressing the press conference, the constituency secretary, Abu Alhaji Junior who rendered an apology to Drobomanhene on behalf of the party urged Nananom to forgive any inconveniences such comment has caused. He again noted that the party has referred the issue to the Council of Elders in the constituency for the necessary action to be taken.

Touching on the closure of the school, Abu Alhaji asked Henforo to employ the appropriate mechanisms as a contractor to get his money paid instead of tarnishing the image of his own party, NPP, and Nana Addo’s led government.

It could be recalled that the Ampenkro/Asratoa D/A Primary School in the Jaman South Municipal of the Bono region was locked up by the first vice-chairman of the NPP in the area, Henry Yaw Afful (Henforo) over the failure of the government to assess the project and pay him his money.

The 6 unit classroom project which falls under the one million dollars per constituency according to source was awarded to Mr. Henforo’s firm of which he has not been settled by his own party’s government led by Nana Akuffo Addo, hence the decision to lock up the building in demanding for his money.
