Tamale Metropolis to hold the Second Phase of Cleanup Exercise On Saturday

The Public Relations Officer of the Tamale Metropolis, Mr Amadu Mustapha, admonished business owners in the Metropolis not to open their shop's during the exercise on Saturday.

In order to improve the sanitation situation in the Tamale Metropolis, the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has collaborated with the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to embark on a cleanup exercise on Saturday 26th, 2021.

Aside from the Tamale Metropolis, several districts in the region will be captured during the exercise.

Speaking to the media, the Public Relations Officer of the Tamale Metropolis, Mr Amadu Mustapha said the exercise is geared to raise Tamale and its suburbs from filth.

According to him, traditional rulers and other stakeholders in the Metropolis will be participating fully throughout the exercise.

Mr Amadu indicated that the Assembly also want to use the cleanup exercise to instil the habit of cleanliness among the citizenry.

He further appealed to the public to take interest in the exercise come Saturday. He further admonished business owners in the Metropolis not to open their shop's during the exercise on Saturday.
