Former Abia Speaker, Chinedum Orji Joins APC

Rt. Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), as reported by ABN TV.

The former lawmaker received his APC membership card from the State Chairman of the Party in Abia, Kingsley Ononogbu, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Enyinnaya, son of Theodore Orji, a former governor of Abia State, had tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday.

Addressing his close supporters on Monday night, he cited issues within the party as the reason for his departure, stating,

"After careful consultation and personal decision, I have decided to exit the PDP. It's time to move on with our lives."
